A Holiday Ode to Camaros

A Holiday Ode to Camaros

Posted on 15 December 2011 by Grace

A great poem we found online and had to share :)

Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light
Was a domestic V8 and no one else in sight
I will try, I will try, I will try with this small motor
To beat this damn Camaro, even with its big blower

As the light goes green and I pull like no joke
The Camaro erupts in clouds of tire smoke
Now Smasher, now Rev-ver, now Stroker, now Blitzin
These are the names of my four VTEC pistons

Racing ahead I’m the star of the action
But I know I’m in trouble when V8 gets traction
Grabbing second, I hear the RPM’s sing
My mirror is blocked by my shopping kart wing

I now hear the roar of the big monster gaining
All I can do is keeping the four-banger straining
In a second, the shock wave hits with a blast
And my stickers go flying now a thing of the past

Don’t bother with third, cause now it’s too late
Just try to act cool, like you can relate
Looking up at the taillights as they get smaller
The driver back off just to give me a holler

“You can’t win them all,” he says in fling
“You may not win any, in that silly thing”
I smiled and revved as he pulled out of sight
With my new mods tomorrow…it will be a better night

Service Spotlight – Chris Gain

Posted on 15 December 2011 by Grace

Chris Gain has been a car lover his whole life, so it was no surprise that 20 years ago he began his career in the auto industry. Today, Chris’ enthusiasm for the cars has not diminished. He now works a Service Advisor at Ron Tonkin Chevrolet where he assists customers throughout the maintenance/repair process. Chris explains the service options to customers and answers any questions that may arise. Then, he works with the Ron Tonkin Chevrolet Factory Trained Technicians to ensure that vehicles are serviced properly and in a timely fashion.

Chris’ attention to customer service has led to a growing customer base. Guests come into the dealership and ask for Chris by name because they know he is an experienced Service Advisor and provides exceptional customer care.

When Chris is not in the dealership he is spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoys being outside walking, surfing and playing sports. His three favorite Chevrolet vehicles are Camaros, Silverados and 1956 Bel-Aires.

Chevrolet Stretch

Have you ever heard of the Chevrolet Stretch? Well neither had GM until the concept was revealed by Taylor Langhals at a Detroit’s College for Creative Studies design competition.

The Chevy Stretch makes city-commuting easy, even in the dense populations. It offers a sporty experience for the driver but can “stretch” to carry up to 4 passengers, if needed.

The innovative design and asetic appeal ultimatly capturured the approval of the design competition’s judges, who named the Langhals’ design the winner.

So will there be a Stretch in Chevy’s future? We will have to wait and see.
